An analytical and efficient individual to ensure effective and efficient management and control of the inventory in the Distribution Centre, through effective implementation, management and control of sound inventory management processes, plans and stock optimisation processes.
Opportunity to ensure that records of each product's inventory count are constantly maintained to prevent out of stock and guarantee customer satisfaction and thereby living out our purpose.
To ensure that inventory shrinkage of the Distribution Centre is kept to an absolute minimum
Ensure that the Inventory team is motivated and empowered
Plan, organise, guide and direct the work of others
To develop short term/long term inventory strategies
Plan, manage and control the outbound labour costs within allowed targets
Schedule, manage, and report on stock takes and analyse shrinkage on variances
Ensure shrinkage plans are implemented and managed
Logical organisation (or slotting) to ensure faster and more successful shipping operations
Manage and implement plans to optimise the movement, housing and flow of stock through the Distribution in an efficient and cost effective manner
Analyses large amounts of data in order to create inventory flow plans
Works with supply chain to address the operational site capacity with pre-purchase of stock
Works with the Operations Manager and relevant heads to manage expectation with inventory flow
To analyse situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action for the Distribution Centre
Conducting audits
Ensuring compliance to OHS and SHEQ standards
Maintain high standards of housekeeping
Grade 12
Supply-Chain / Logistics Degree or Diploma
Minimum 5 years in a similar role in a Warehousing and Distribution environment in a similar role
Above average competence in MS Office
Previous experience in optimisation and engineering of inventory flow plans
Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
